An Open Letter to Myself: An Apology and a Celebration

Dear Me,

I owe you an apology. Not for the mistakes you’ve made, not for the times you stumbled, but for the moments when you accepted less than you deserved. I am sorry for the times you let others make you believe that you were anything less than extraordinary. I am sorry for the times you silenced your own voice to make others comfortable. I am sorry for the moments you questioned your worth because someone else couldn’t see it.

But this letter is not about regret—it’s about growth. It’s about acknowledging just how far you’ve come. Because, despite everything, you never stayed down. You never let the weight of doubt and disappointment keep you from becoming the force of nature that you are today.

You learned one of life’s most valuable lessons: It does not matter how many people tell you that you are amazing—the real transformation happened when you believed it yourself. The day you finally understood your own worth, everything changed. The way you carried yourself, the way you demanded respect, the way you loved yourself unapologetically—it all shifted the moment you realized you were never meant to settle.

And now, look at you. Look at all you’ve built. Look at the way you turned hardships into wisdom, pain into power, and lemons into the sweetest lemonade. You have never been a victim of your circumstances—you have been a warrior through them. You have fought for the life you deserve, and you continue to do so with grace and strength.

I am so proud of you. Proud of the boundaries you’ve set, proud of the courage you’ve shown, proud of the way you no longer take anything less than what aligns with your worth. Your flaws, your scars, your struggles—they have all shaped you into the incredible person you are today. And for that, I applaud you.

So, here’s to you. To your resilience, your fire, your heart. Keep shining, keep growing, and never forget—you were never too much; they were just not enough.

With love and admiration,

Me
