Today, I find myself feeling deeply grateful—for every experience I’ve had, every lesson learned, and every moment that has shaped me. There’s a grounding sense of peace in remembering that things could always be worse, and that perspective keeps me moving forward with intention and drive. I never want to rest in complacency. Instead, I crave growth and constantly strive to elevate myself in every part of life.
This gratitude I feel today wasn’t always so natural. There was a time when I felt lost, burdened, and hopeless, weighed down by my struggles. But, as I’ve come to realize, those darker moments gave me the perspective I needed to truly value what I have now. When you’ve known pain, joy becomes that much sweeter; when you’ve felt hopeless, hope shines brighter. The shift that happened for me was both simple and monumental: I decided to change my perspective.
Gratitude doesn’t erase struggles, and it’s not about pretending everything is perfect. Instead, it’s a choice to focus on what is working, what brings me joy, and what adds to my life. This change has been a journey, a daily choice to look for silver linings and to appreciate the progress, even when the destination feels far away.
Today, I hold my hardships in a different light. They’ve become the backdrop that makes my successes feel richer, my relationships more cherished, and my small wins more fulfilling. Gratitude has been a practice that allows me to ground myself and keep moving forward—never settling, never giving up on the vision of who I want to become.
To anyone else feeling low, I hope you know that perspective can be a powerful tool. By choosing gratitude, you might find yourself, as I did, growing stronger and more resilient. Every step forward becomes a little more meaningful, and even on the darkest days, there’s something to be grateful for.
with gratitude,
Alejandra
